BOKARINA, QUEENSLAND
Constructing a lake extension and all associated infrastructure for a beachside residential development
Hall was engaged to construct a 27,000m3 extension to Lake Kawana for the Bokarina Beach residential development.
The project also involved constructing a 400-metre-long revetment wall; sewerage and water infrastructure; a jetty; a rising main; and a salinity pump station.
As part of the project’s species management plan, Hall translocated around 2,000m2 of vegetation to a designated area 400 metres from the site to ensure protected species like the wallum froglet and swamp crayfish weren’t negatively impacted.
Hall was named a 2020 Queensland State Finalist for the CCF Earth Awards for its efforts on this project.
