Undertaking maintenance dredging in the Bluewater Canal
Hall further cemented its presence in Far North Queensland in 2021, commencing a three-year maintenance dredging contract on behalf of Cairns Regional Council.
The team was engaged to dredge the Bluewater Canal system and outlet channel, maintaining safe passage for recreational and commercial vessels.
With some areas of the project based within the stunning Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, Hall took extreme care to protect the marine environment, implementing rigorous water quality monitoring processes and undertaking regular benthic surveys to assess the health of the subtidal habitat.
