Dredging and land reclamation for the expansion of the Port of Brisbane
For over 20 years, Hall Contracting has provided a range of dredging and land reclamation services for what is Australia’s fast growing container port and Queensland’s largest general cargo port, the Port of Brisbane.
Using cutter suction dredge Amity Hall dredged berths and approach channels and reclaimed up to 500,000m³ of land for the expansion of this significant port.
Due to the soft nature of the reclamation subgrade, specialist advice from Coffey Geosciences was sought by Hall, to ensure the safety of the crew and the effectiveness of the reclamation.
