Dredging a new navigational channel at Spoilbank Marina
Hall’s 48-metre-long backhoe dredge, Nulla Nulla, was tasked with dredging a new navigational channel linking Spoilbank Marina to deeper offshore waters in Western Australia as part of the Spoilbank Marina Development Project.
The project has ensured recreational boaters have safe access to boat-launching and berthing facilities and created a range of new employment opportunities for local community members and businesses. Nulla Nulla worked in conjunction with two split hopper barges to dredge and relocate more than 120,000m3 of material over six months on behalf of Pilbara Ports.
