Construction of a 168-metre-long, five-span pedestrian and cycle bridge
As part of its 30-year tenure at Pelican Waters on the Sunshine Coast, Hall has delivered a 168-metre-long, five-span pedestrian and cycle bridge for the development.
The bridge connects Bells Creek and the Sunshine Coast coastal pathway to the south with Pelican Waters Central Park to the north.
The bridge features a curved design, with both vertical and horizontal curves incorporated. This required extensive consultation and planning prior to and during construction and ensures there is enough height for boats to pass beneath the bridge safely, while also keeping the incline gentle enough to accommodate pedestrians, wheelchair users and prams.
