Undertaking maintenance dredging in the Newport canals
Hall Contracting was engaged by Moreton Bay Regional Council to undertake maintenance dredging works in several locations within the Newport canals that had progressively silted up.
The works involved dredging around 33,000m³ of material from the canals. This material was then disposed offshore at Mud Island.
Hall mobilised one of its amphibious dredges Maroochy River to site in mid-April 2020, with works completed in December.
