Constructing a new four-lane traffic bridge in a high-traffic area
As part of the much-anticipated Mooloolaba Transport Corridor Upgrade (MTCU), Hall was engaged to construct a new four-lane traffic bridge in Mooloolaba.
With the Sunshine Coast population expected to grow by around 200,000 people by 2041, the new bridge will assist to limit congestion in one of the region’s most popular areas.
The team was required to maintain two-way traffic flow for approximately 10,000 vehicles per day throughout construction.
Hall installed temporary piling pads made from rock-filled open-top shipping containers to facilitate construction of the bridge while maintaining constant, unrestricted access through Mayes Canal for boat users.
