Design, construction and dredging for a boat harbour and entrance channel
Hall Contracting was engaged by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads to design and construct containment bunds adjacent to the Bowen Boat Harbour.
The scope of works included dredging 35,000m³ of material from the boat harbour entrance channel.
As part of the project, the team also delivered:
- maintenance dredging of 6,600m³ of sediment from five shoaled areas within the boat harbour;
- capital dredging works to straighten, widen, and deepen the entrance channel; and
- disposing spoil within the nominated disposal areas.
