Seawall replacement and associated landscaping works
Hall Contracting was engaged by City of Moreton Bay to undertake seawall replacement works at Biggs Avenue in Beachmere. This project involved the replacement of an existing grouted stone-pitched seawall that was failing in places along the Biggs Avenue section.
The existing seawall was demolished and a new rock armour wall was constructed in its place.
Key deliverables included:
- demolishing and replacing 480m of existing seawall;
- supplying and placing 3500m² of Elcomax 1200r geofabric;
- supplying and installing a reinforced concrete crown wall;
- supplying and constructing a staircase and viewing platform, including piling; and
- constructing a footpath and delivering all landscaping works.
