Hall Contracting commemorated 75 years in business by donating 75 back-to-school packs to disadvantaged Sunshine Coast students impacted by economic hardship or family violence.
CEO Cameron Hall made the donation in honour of his late grandfather, Les Hall, who – – despite growing up in poverty and having a challenging start to life – founded Hall Contracting in 1946.
Each back-to-school pack included a school backpack filled with stationery, a pencil case, drink bottle and a $100 Rebel voucher to aid with funding school shoes and sporting equipment.
Sunshine Coast charity SunnyKids distributed the packs to primary and high school students in need, helping to encourage children to continue with their education and provide them with a sense of belonging in the school community.
The backpacks were a welcome addition for families making a fresh start after fleeing violent households as well as those struggling to make ends meet.
