With supporting local more important than ever during the coronavirus pandemic, two Queensland companies – Hall Contracting and Atlas Heavy Engineering – have recently banded together to build one of the toughest marine digging buckets in Australia.
Queensland has become home to the largest Australian-owned backhoe dredge, creating an opportunity for Australian workers to undertake dredging projects that were previously limited to overseas contractors.
The Sunshine Coast is set to welcome state-of-the-art technology that will assist in the upkeep of local waterways, with Hall Contracting having added a $1.3 million amphibious dredge to its fleet.
