Beneficiary: Fuel for Schools

Underprivileged school students in Townsville benefited from the donation of a range of essential school items after Hall’s Townsville crew raised $5,000 for local charity Fuel for Schools.
Fuel for Schools provides backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles and socks to primary and secondary students in need and also delivers nutritional breakfasts to assist children with cognitive function and improving their wellbeing.
The Townsville team raised the funds through the Containers for Change recycling initiative, collecting bottles and cans over the course of the year at its Port of Townsville site.
The initiative not only benefited local school children but also helped to minimise the site’s environmental footprint, encouraging Hall to introduce Containers for Change bins across all of its sites and offices in Queensland.
