Fiji Roads Authority engaged Hall Contracting to undertake repair works for the Nabouwalu Jetty. The jetty provides a key transportation link between Vanua Levu and Viti Levu. The design and construction of the interim solution needed to ensure that the Nabouwalu Jetty remained fully functional throughout the design and construction phases.
The Jetty services a wide range of users, including but not limited to vehicular/passenger ferries, police, customs, navy, fishing vessels, government supply ships and small locally based vessels. The team delivered construction of a mooring dolphin, reinforced concrete structural overlay for the jetty ramp, 14 bollards and traffic stop logs, 800 to 1500m3 of dredging, and general causeway repairs (road and rock armour).
