Hall Contracting was engaged by Unitywater to carry out sewer rising main duplication works along Messines Road, Aroona and Talara Street, Currimundi. These works facilitate the augmentation of the existing L1 sewer rising main that connects the Caloundra sewerage catchment to the Kawana STP.
The works involved laying 1400m of 710mm HDPE sewer rising main through existing residential areas. The first milestone of the project was to complete 360m of main, including backfill and road restoration, in front of Talara Primary School in Currimundi.The project contained many challenges including traffic control and wet ground conditions. Tight completion dates were enforced to which Hall Contracting met all requirements.
