Hall Contracting was engaged by the Department of Transport and Main Roads to construct a new recreational boating facility adjacent to Lions Park. This included construction of a new car trailer park adjacent to the boat ramp.
The team delivered full construction of all tide three-lane boat ramp, a floating walkway in the upstream lane for easy access while launching and retrieving, and rock groyne (approximately 60m in length) to protect against cross currents and wave action. Other works included the relocation of the existing storm water outlet to improve water quality of the main swimming beach, and the reclamation of 7500m² for the construction of a car-trailer park and turnaround area. This included creation of 47 single car parks and a further 49 car-trailer parks.
