Ebeye Coastal Protection Works

Ebeye, the Republic of the Marshall Islands

Constructing a new seawall in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

Ebeye Coastal Protection Works

#About this project

Hall has been engaged to deliver coastal protection works in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) on behalf of the RMI Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Utilities.

As one of the world’s smallest and lowest-lying island nations, RMI is extremely vulnerable to the effects of climate change and severe weather events.

The project involves constructing a new seawall on the Ebeye atoll using approximately 65,000 tonnes of armour rock to minimise erosion and greatly reduce inundation from storm surges.

The works are being funded by the World Bank and Green Climate Fund.
