Ba River Maintenance Dredging

#About this project

Hall has been engaged to undertake maintenance dredging at Ba River to mitigate flood risks and prevent damage to nearby communities during flood events.

Ba River experiences substantial sediment build-up caused by erosion in its upper catchments, and as a result, tropical rains and cyclones pose significant flood threats.

The project involves dredging over 373,000m3 of sands and silts over approximately 3.6km to deepen the river to around three metres below mean sea level.
