Hall was engaged by the Tuvalu Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure, Environment, Labour, Meteorology and Disaster and The World Bank to upgrade the port facilities at Funafuti in Tuvalu. The works support safe and sustainable operations at the cargo handling area and the efficient import and export of goods.
As part of the project, our team constructed a new wash-out bay, security block wall and mechanical workshop; installed new pavement in the operations area; and upgraded the drainage system and warehouse.
The crew also increased the usable area at the port and upgraded the existing nearby seawall to prevent damage from king tides and storm events.
