Following Hall Contracting’s successful completion of Stage 1 of Motukea in 2005, the team was invited back in 2016 to carry out 1.3 million m3 of dredging and reclamation to create the new Motukea Container Terminal for PNG Ports Corporation.
Key deliverables included the dredging of 1.3 million m3 of coral rock, hard clay and sand, with pumping distances up to 3kn, and the reclamation of container terminal area and control of tailwater.
