Hall Contracting was engaged by international company Jan de Nul to deliver part of the $1.3 billion dollar New Parallel Runway Project. The project required the installation of 4km of 1000mm diameter steel pipeline through Brisbane International Airport, as well as the development of a Wastewater Treatment Plant.
A 4km x 11m access road was constructed to Main Roads specification, which was designed around operational runways including the main runway. The scope also included the installation of 270m of pipe underneath a runway and the construction of a 6 metre high, 40 metre long pipe bridge over an existing outfall structure.
In successfully completing this project, our team demonstrated their ability to work in a highly restricted and regulated airport environment. We also delivered innovative design, construction and fabrication solutions to save the project time and money.
